How our listings work
Where the information comes from, what we check, and what paid listings get. Last updated 11 Oct 2026.
Where listings come from
Every office starts from the federal NPI registry, the public list of health care providers kept by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. We take the office name, address, phone and the dentists registered there. Each listing shows the date we last checked it.
Listings we haven't checked yet
Some registry records are years old, and some offices are only listed under a dentist's own name. We still show these offices so you can find them, but we keep them out of search engines until the office claims its listing or we confirm the details.
Insurance and hours
Plans and hours come from the office, either when it claims its listing or from its own website. We show where the information came from and the date. Plans change, so always check yours when you call.
Premium listings
Offices can pay a flat monthly price for a premium listing: a Book online button, photos, a website link and a place near the top of results. Premium listings always carry a "Premium" label. Paying never changes the facts we show about an office.
Corrections
If something's wrong, use "Suggest a correction" on the listing. We check corrections against the office or the registry before changing anything.
Your privacy
You don't need an account to search, and we never ask about your health. When you book, you're on the office's own website.
